ABOUT THE PROJECT
The International Composer Alliance (ICA) is hosting an extraordinary online program designed to connect film directors and producers with the perfect composer for their upcoming work. Comprising a talented and diverse group of award-winning film music composers, the ICA will meticulously match films with at least two composers who will create musical excerpts or sketches tailored to the film or script. During the MTC online meetings, directors will have the chance to choose their preferred composer based on the music, conversations, and connections formed.
HOW IT WORKS
To participate in the program, directors and producers who have obtained financial support for their film projects and are prepared for production should submit their script, a scene or a finished film for evaluation. These projects should not have already selected a composer and can include short or feature films in both fiction and documentary genres. The submitted material will be shared with potential composers, who will create a few demos that align with the vision and expectations of the director and producer.
IMPORTANT DATES
Filmmakers interested in participating must complete an application form and submit the required materials by August 15th. Meetings will be scheduled between September 4th and September 9th, accommodating the availability of the selected directors and composers. The application is free of charge.
REQUIREMENTS FOR FILM PROJECTS:
Whether they are short or feature films, fiction or documentary, at any stage in the filmmaking process, are as follows:

Received some financial support and confirmed to be produced.

No composer linked to the project yet.

Materials (in English) deadline for submission is 15 August, including:

Rough or final cut of the film project (if available)

Completed application form

Notes on musical expectations.

Synopsis of the film

CV (bio and photograph) of director and producer or production company.
